Youth&KidScore2 Playhouse
Youth&KidScore2 Playhouse is a year-round organization focused on performance and creative arts for kids and youth. We present a full season of professional-quality productions featuring all-student casts. We recruit students on a non-competitive basis and prioritize a nurturing, process-oriented rehearsal environment. Now in our 25th year, we reach hundreds of students weekly through our innovative “YouthScore Mobile Production in the Schools” program.

Our complete curriculum, featuring detailed lesson plans and student materials, allows students to delve into various aspects of theater: acting, design, directing, writing, music, and dance. Each session begins with a video that introduces the day’s theme through backstage access and on-screen instruction. After a full class activity led by a director, students work in groups to tackle a creative challenge, share their work, reflect as a group, and learn from each other. The Y&KS2 holistic arts education program, The Lion King Experience, meets several educational standards, including Common Core State Standards and National Core Arts Standards.
